Peanut Butter Jam Squares Recipe


3 Tablespoons butter/margarine.
1/3 Cup peanut butter.
5 Cups rice krispies.
1 250g pack marshmallows.
½ tsp vanilla essence.
½ Cup raspberry or grape jam.


Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a low heat.
Add peanut butter and marshmallows.
Stir until melted and well blended.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla essence.
Add rice krispies, and stir until coated.
Using a spatula that has been lightly coated with spray ‘n cook, press mixture firmly and evenly into a buttered pan.
Cool for about 10 minutes.
Cut rice krispies in half crosswise.
Spread jam evenly over one half, and place the other half ontop.
Making a sandwich.
Press halves together gently.
Cut into squares.
