Custard Tart Recipe

INGREDIENTS

100g tennis biscuits.
1 packet orange jelly.
125ml boiling water.
250ml unsweetened orange juice.
50ml sugar.
250ml milk powder.
750ml cold water.
75ml custard powder.
pinch salt.
1 tin condensed milk.
125ml lemon juice.
cream, whipped.
orange slices.

DIRECTIONS

Cover the base of an oblong dish (20X20X5cm) with a layer of tennis biscuits.
Mix the jelly in the boiling water.
Add the orange juice and half of the sugar and stir until the sugar has melted.
Leave the mixture to cool until thick as whites of eggs.
Pour the jelly mixture over the biscuits and put in the fridge to set.
Mix together the milk powder and cold water.
In a separate bowl mix together the custard powder, salt and the remaining sugar.
Add a little of the milk mixture and mix to form a paste.
In a saucepan heat the rest of the milk to boiling point.
Add the custard paste and stir until the mixture boils and begins to thicken.
Remove from the stove and cool.
Pour custard mixture over the set jelly mixture.
Mix together the condensed milk and lemon juice and spoon over the custard.
Put in the fridge and allow to set.
Decorate with cream and orange slices.
