Microwave Chocolate Fudge Recipe


1 packet (500g) icing sugar.
50ml cocoa.
50ml milk.
100g butter OR margarine.
5ml vanilla essence.
pinch of salt.


Line a 20 x 20cm pan or dish with foil.
Grease the foil with butter OR spray with non-stick spray.
Set aside.
In a deep 3,5 litre microwave safe bowl sift together the icing sugar and cocoa.
Add the milk and butter OR margarine.
Microwave the mixture uncovered on 100% power for 5 minutes, beating it well with a wooden spoon at 2 minute intervals.
Add the vanilla essence and salt.
Beat the fudge until it begins to firm.
Transfer it immediately to the greased pan or dish and smooth the top.
Allow the fudge to cool until firm but not quite set.
Cut into 2,5cm squares.
Allow to cool until hard.
Turn the fudge out of the pan or dish.
Remove the foil.
Carefully break the squares apart.
Store in an airtight container.
