Butter Biscuits Recipe


250g margarine.
2 cups sugar.
8 cups cake flour + extra for dusting.
3ml mixed spice.
6 eggs.
20ml baking powder.
10ml vanilla essence.
3ml cinnamon.


Preheat oven to 180°C.
Lightly grease a baking tray.
In a bowl cream the margarine and sugar together.
Add the vanilla essence and eggs.
Mix well.
In a separate bowl sift all the dry ingredients together.
Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Sprinkle flour on a working surface.
Roll out the dough.
Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
Place the cookies on the baking tray and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
