Chocolate Brownie Recipe


125g butter.
100g dark chocolate, chopped.
2 large eggs.
1 tin condensed milk.
1 cup cake flour.
50ml cocoa powder.


Preheat oven to 180°C.
Grease a 22cm square cake tin with butter.
Line the base with greased baking paper, extending over the 2 sides of the cake tin.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl in the microwave oven at 50% power (medium) for 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
Allow to cool.
Use and electric handmixer to beat the eggs, condensed milk and vanilla essence together in a large bowl until well combined.
In a separate bowl sift the flour and cocoa powder together.
Beat the melted chocolate into the egg mixture and then stir in the sifted flour and cocoa powder.
Pour into the prepared tin.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, until risen and just firm to the touch.
Leave in the tin to cool completely.
Cut into squares when cold.

TIP: Drizzle with melted chocolate and serve with ice-cream or whipped cream.
