Onion Salad Recipe


1kg small onions, peeled.
200ml sugar.
7,5ml salt.
20ml mustard powder.
12,5ml maizena.
2 eggs, well beaten.
175ml white vinegar.


In a pot on the stove cook the onions until soft.
In a mixing bowl mix together the sugar, salt, mustard powder and maizena.
Add the eggs.
Gradually beat in the vinegar.
Pour the mixture over the onions and heat to boiling point stirring continously.
Take off the stove as soon as it starts boiling.
Place in a serving dish.
