INGREDIENTS CAKE
125g margarine, soft.
1 cup castor sugar.
3 eggs.
½ teaspoon vanilla essence.
1½ cups flour.
¼ cup cocoa.
2½ teaspoons baking powder.
1/3 cup water.
INGREDIENTS ICING
125g margarine, soft.
1½ cups icing sugar.
½ teaspoon vanilla essence.
1 tablespoon water.
METHOD CAKE
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Grease a cake tin.
In a bowl beat together margarine, castor sugar, eggs and vanilla essence.
In a separate bowl sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder together.
Add the dry ingredients to the margarine mixture alternately with the water.
Pour mixture into the cake tin.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Turn out onto a cooling rack and allow to cool.
Decorate with icing.
METHOD ICING
Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
