Rice Dumplings Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1 cup rice cooked in salt water.
15ml sugar.
12,5ml butter.
10ml baking powder.
2 eggs.
1 cup flour.
60ml milk.
5ml vanilla essence.

METHOD

In a bowl beat the eggs and sugar together.
In a separate bowl rub the butter in the flour.
Mix in cooked rice and baking powder.
Add the egg mixture, milk and vanilla essence.
Mix.

INGREDIENTS SYRUP

5 cups water.
15ml butter.
1½ cups sugar.
Pinch salt and cinnamon.

METHOD SYRUP

In a pot on the stove boil all the ingredients together.
Pour into a baking dish.
Add the rice mixture and cover with extra cinnamon.
Bake in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes.
