INGREDIENTS
4 cups popped popcorn.
2 cups rice krispies.
1 cup brown sugar.
60ml honey or syrup.
80ml water.
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine.
60ml cinnamon sugar (2 parts sugar = (40ml sugar) and 1 part cinnamon = (20ml cinnamon).
Pretzel sticks or sosatie sticks.
METHOD
Mix the popcorn and rice krispies together in a bowl.
Mix the sugar, honey and water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil over a high heat.
Stir constantly until sugar is completely melted.
Cook until sugar forms thick, ropy threads that drips from the spoon.
Add the butter and mix well.
Slowly pour mixture over the popcorn mixture, tossing it to mix.
When the popcorn has cooled slightly, spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray and shape into small balls.
Insert the pretzel or sosatie stick to create a lollipop.
Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture and wrap in plastic wrap or store in zipper bags.
