Beef Ragu with Polenta Recipe
600g cubed beef.
salt and pepper.
2 onions, sliced.
2 garlic cloves, crushed.
10ml dried thyme.
1 sachet tomato paste (50g).
1 litre beef stock.
1 can creamed sweetcorn.
Season the beef with salt and pepper.
Heat the oil in a large pan on the stove.
Add the beef and brown.
Place the browned beef in a bowl.
Fry the onions and garlic in the same pan.
Add the beef back into the pan.
Add the dried thyme, tomato paste and beef stock.
Simmer on a low heat for 1 hour.
Cook the polenta according to the instructions given on the packet.
Stir in the sweetcorn.
Serve the beef on the polenta.
