Lentil Dish Recipe
1 large onion, chopped.
2 cinnamon sticks.
1 packet (200g) savoury soya mince.
2-3 carrots, scraped clean and cut into pieces.
500ml red lentils.
1 bay leaf.
2ml cayenne pepper.
about 1½ litres water.
In a large pan sauté the onion, cinnamom and cloves in a little oil until the onion is soft.
Add the soya mince and stir-fry lightly.
Add the carrot pieces and lentils.
Season with the bay leaf and cayenne pepper.
Add the water.
Cover and simmer until the soya mince and lentils are cooked and soft, adding more water if necessary.
Season with salt and sprinkle with a handful of chopped parsley.
Serve with rice.
