750ml cake flour.
10ml baking powder.
INGREDIENTS CHOCOLATE SYRUP
500ml desiccated coconut.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a bowl beat the butter and sugar together.
Add the eggs one by one, beating the mixture until light and fluffy after each addition.
Add the milk.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Fold into the egg mixture.
Divide the batter between two square 23cm cake pans.
Bake for 50-60 minutes.
Cut into squares and allow to cool completely.
In a saucepan on the stove mix the sugar, cocoa and water together.
Bring to the boil and stir constantly.
Add the butter and mix.
Remove from heat.
Dip the squares into the syrup, do not soak.
Roll each square in a thick layer of coconut.
Place squares onto a cooling rack and allow to dry.
