INGREDIENTS
1 slice of bread.
25ml milk.
100g mince.
1 onion.
half an egg (Beat 1 egg. Measure egg liquid and half it.).
3ml mixed herbs.
2ml salt.
1ml pepper.
10ml tomato sauce.
25ml mayonnaise.
2 bread rolls.
20g margarine.
lettuce leaf.
2 slices tomato.
2 slices cheese.
25ml oil.
flour.
METHOD
Trim the crusts off the bread.
In a bowl place crustless bread and pour the milk over.
Grate half the onion and add to the bread.
Add the mince, egg, herbs, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Shape into patties and roll in flour.
Heat oil in a pan.
Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Cut the bread rolls in half and spread with margarine.
Mix the tomato sauce and mayonnaise together and spread over each roll half.
Place a piece of lettuce on the lower half of the roll followed by the patty, tomato, cheese and onion.
Place the top half of the roll on and serve.
