Hamburgers Recipe

INGREDIENTS

30ml olive oil.
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
2 large onions, finely chopped.
salt and freshly ground black pepper.
1kg minced meat.
30ml parsley, finely chopped.
30ml mint leaves, finely chopped.
5ml cumin.
15ml worcester sauce.
15ml soy sauce.
2 eggs.
oil for frying.
80ml braai marinade.
4-6 rolls.
lettuce leaves.
2 tomatoes, sliced.
150ml mayonnaise.

STEPS

Heat oil in a pan.
Fry the garlic and onions until they are transparent.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Allow to cool.
In a large bowl mix together mince, garlic and onion mixture, parsley, mint leaves, cumin, soy sauce, worcester sauce and eggs.
Use your hands to ensure everything is mixed well.
Divide the meat into balls of equal size (about 200g each) and lightly push each meatball flat.
Heat the oil in a ridged frying pan.
Fry the patties until cooked.
Coat the patties with braai marinade as you fry them.
Place a patty on an open roll, along with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

TIP: You can braai the patties over coals.
Make sure the coals are very hot, depending on how well done you prefer your meat.
